Visit Summit Public Art and artist Sarah Langsam at The Summit Farmers Market participate in the creation of her upcoming art installation on the Summit Park Line!
The workshop gives participants the opportunity to create using a process Langsam has developed called puzzling. The technique is to assemble small pieces of tree rings together on top of plywood rings using glue. It is very similar to doing a puzzle in wood. These puzzled rings will be linked together and help to form the larger installation.
The technique is relatively simple and great for people of all ages! It is advised that younger children come with a helper. Participants of past workshops have found the process both fun and therapeutic. You can come work for two minutes or two hours its up to you.
If you are interested in volunteering to assist Langsam at the Farmer’s Market please contact Vicki at summitpublicarts@gmail.com for more information. This is a perfect opportunity for an art student or amateur artist to get more experience.
