EVENING OF ANONYMOUS ART

ANONYMOUS ART EVENT 2026:  CALL FOR ARTISTS

Summit Public Art (SPA) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that brings art to public spaces throughout the City of Summit, NJ. SPA is solely funded through public and private grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.  This year we are celebrating our 24th anniversary!

SPA will be hosting our second annual “Evening of Anonymous Art” fundraising event on Friday, October 16, 2026,  at The Albion Summit Hotel, a Landmark Hospitality venue. Save the date!

We are seeking artists to donate 6”x 6” original works to be wall-hung. Each piece will be sold for $100. All proceeds go toward obtaining new installations for SPA’s 2027 season.

The “Evening of Anonymous Art” will be a spirited and unique event. Each showcased work will be anonymous; artists' names should appear on the backs of their pieces. Renowned artists’ works will be intermingled with those by artists at all levels of expertise. Once the purchase period is over, artists’ information will be revealed on-site and will also be published on our website.

ART REQUIREMENTS:

• Art size: 6”x 6” only.

• Materials: optional. i.e., painting, print, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, collage, textiles, etc.

• In cases where artists do not use canvas, the 6”x 6” requirement remains the same. Smaller works must be placed within a        6”x 6” frame.

• A hook or wire must be attached to the back for hanging.

• All works must be signed and dated on the back. Business cards may also be attached to the back of the art.

• Title of the work is optional.

• Open to all levels of expertise.

• Each artist is limited to, at most, 3 pieces, please.

CONTENT:

•  No official theme.

•  Representational and abstract art accepted.

•  Political, religious, or controversial themes will not be accepted.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

• Email summitpublicart.website@gmail.com to let us know you will be submitting art. Include your full name, email address, phone number, and number of pieces. Also, provide the information you would like included in the artist guide, available at the event and on our website. This can include name, email, Instagram, artist’s website, or simply your name.
