While Waiting
- by Barbara Ellman
Stained glass panels of crisp, colorful abstract forms reference a city's rhythms, momentum, and diversity.
Barbara Ellman's work is fundamentally about responding to place and making sense of space. Primarily abstract, Ellman's art references her experiences as a New Yorker confronting an over- abundance of visual stimulation. Her work has been shown throughout the United States and beyond, including exhibitions at the Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, NJ; the Parrish Art Museum, Water Mill, NY; and the Haslla Art World Museum, South Korea. Currently,Ellman is also a museum educator at the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum. Ellman lives and works in New York.
