Summit Beacon, like Pleiades, our other Ray King piece, is primarily made of dichroic glass. Dichroic film (created by NASA) is baked into the glass panels and results in the panels changing color as daylight moves overhead throughout the day. The piece is illuminated at night. This installation is Summit’s very own beacon of light.
