Spirits & Comos
- by Phyllis Baker Hammond
Playfulness, elegance, and delight are conveyed through the interplay of form and color.
Phyllis Baker Hammond's sculptures start with spontaneously doodled pencil drawings that through technology are transferred onto aluminum and cut out. Hammond manipulates the cutouts to create forms that weave in and out of each other into playful, elegant, abstract pieces in brilliant colors. Hammond has received numerous awards and exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally, including at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza in NYC where five of her pieces were displayed in 2017. Hammond lives and works in East Hampton, NY.
